Curricula for Students Enrolled in the

Pre-Professional Program

The Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree at Hampton University requires prerequisite coursework equaling 96 or 83 credit hours. This approximates a two-to-three year program of study be completed in order to be considered for admission to the program. 

Three-Year Track

The Three-Year Track requires completion of 95 credit hours of prerequisite coursework.


Two-Year Advanced Placement Track

The Two-Year Advanced Placement Track requires completion of 80 credit hours of prerequisite coursework.  The following additional conditions apply:

  1. Must obtain a preferred PCAT composite percentile of 50 of higher.
  2. Must obtain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 or higher.
  3. Must complete the advance placement program within a maximum of three years.
  4. Must not have more than four failing grades in courses within the curriculum.
