Accreditation

The Hampton University School of Pharmacy’s Doctor of Pharmacy program has been given the status of Accredited with Probation by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, 135 South LaSalle Street, Suite 4100, Chicago, IL 60603, 312/664-3575; FAX, 312/664-4652, website www.acpe-accredit.org, for partial compliance with the following standard(s):

Standard No. 17: Progression

For an explanation of the program’s Accredited with Probation status, consult the Office of the Dean or ACPE. The school is actively working toward addressing these issues and has provided two Explanatory Statements (Jan 2018 and July 2017) from the Dean, Dr. Anand Iyer, that specifically details the action plan.

 

Program Outcomes

  • 76.7% of the 2018 graduating class completed the Pharm.D. program within four (4) years.
  • The NAPLEX pass rate for the Class of 2018 was 72.73%.
  • As of July 2019, 78% of the 2018 graduating class reported being employed within the profession of pharmacy, including 64% in community pharmacy practice and 2% in hospital pharmacy practice.
  • 14% of the Pharm.D. graduates were accepted into a residency program or fellowship.
