Welcome to the Hampton University School of Pharmacy Alumni website. Our goal is to keep you informed about alumni activities and the latest news about the school.

Hampton University School of Pharmacy has over 300 alumni who are presently working in key positions in community and hospital pharmacies, as well as long term care facilities, public health organizations, pharmaceutical companies and other practice venues. Alumni have returned to campus for special presentations and important events. Dr. Anna Howell and Dr. Cassandra Poulson, members of the founding Class of 2002, returned to campus on April 17, 2009, for the 9th Annual Awards Banquet and Rites of Passage Ceremony to present the Founding Pioneers Legacy Scholarship. The Future Clinical Pharmacist Award was presented at the Annual Awards Banquet by Dr. Duran Williams’05. Dr. Sylvia Best‘08, Dr. Christopher Murray‘08, Dr. Ramone Boyd‘08 and Dr. Adam James’08 sponsored the HUSOP Alumni of 2008 Health-System Pharmacist Award, which was given to a 4th year pharmacy student pursuing a career as a Health-System Pharmacist. Dr. Kenya Jones’06 returned to the School of Pharmacy to serve as our Reflections Speaker for the Annual White Coat Ceremony on September 25, 2008. Dr. Jones, who is currently Director of Pharmacy at Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital of Maryland in Rockville, Maryland, assisted us in welcoming sixty-six new P1 students into the School of Pharmacy. He shared his thoughts on his career as a pharmacist and a retrospective view on the education he received at Hampton. Dr. Erica Gooch’06 will serve as the Reflections Speaker at the 2009 White Coat Ceremony. Dr. Gooch is a pharmacovigilance scientist for Benefit Risk Management, a Division of Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research and Development in Horsham, PA.

On July 1, 2009, the School of Pharmacy welcomed Dr. Monique White’06 back to Hampton University to serve as a full-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. The following alumni have served as part-time faculty members in the School of Pharmacy: Dr. Torrea Davis Harris’02, Dr. Janine Whitley James’02, Dr. Jennifer Dauer’05, Dr. Irma Gundayao’06, and Dr. Ashley Scott Randall’07.
